Goodbye Chicago: the return to Indy

In my final days at Chicago I went to visit Navy Pier. Well, first I got lost wondering around Chicago trying to figure out my way to Navy Pier. Which was pretty fun.

I was wary of the place because I heard it was so touristy, I think a lot of people from Chicago don’t even go there. Unless they wanted to go to the IMAX theatre. But while it was touristy it was pleasant enough and I think a lot of boat tours start from there. I think after memorial weekend (the one coming up) a lot of stuff gets a bit more fun, like free shuttles etc. Any way it was nice, but going by myself I wasn’t inspired to do much there, like ride the ferris wheel etc

We also visited the botanical gardens which was really pretty and I took lots of photos of the model railway system. The weather has been a bit crazy lately with thunderstorms, then being warm, but it’s all interesting.

I took the megabus back to Indianapolis which was fine. There was some crazy hail last night, the size of golf balls, and some tornado warnings too!

Right now I’m typing this up while at Bride1’s gym where she teaches gymnastics. I participated in the preschool class, and even got a ladybug stamp on my hand! The kids are really cute.

Update: photos!
