Aussie room mate also picked up a guy from Lake Tahoe to come road tripping with us. First stop on the trip was to Juro stables to go horse riding, since Aussie room mate is an avid rider and coach.
It was fun, and I’m really glad I decided to go along. Although my horse, Buck, was aptly named and a bit stroppy. It didn’t help matters that one of the guides told me to give him a kick to go faster, but after Buck getting upset at me, the other guide told me that he didn’t like to be kicked and just needed a little squeeze! Well, that and I can’t actually ride! So I managed to get my knees knocked on a lot of trees, and I think I will stick to riding elephants.
The road trip was great – good company, good conversation and the song ‘pumped up kicks’ by Foster the People. It was sad when it ended. Now I’m feeling a bit homesick to be honest!
So far, it feels like everyday of this trip has been 3 days long and I haven’t even been gone a whole month yet! It’s very strange.
I didn’t sleep well last night. This place isn’t as nice as the other places I have stayed. I saw a roach, and I was freezing cold with the air con. But other people staying here seem okay. I randomly bumped into one today so we caught the train back together.
The only thing I’ve done today is go to the Georgia Aquarium. Which is awesome!! I watched the dolphin show which is not like any other I have seen. There were lights, and kinda a musical, it was in a theatre. Even though it was aimed at kids, I found it really enjoyable.
